Connect your AI agent
Lyracut speaks the Model Context Protocol, so any MCP-capable agent can read your timeline and edit it for you — cut, caption, reorder, generate b-roll, create thumbnails from real footage, and build word-triggered HyperFrames motion graphics with Gemini QA. Add the connection URL below to your agent, authorize once in the browser, and start editing by just asking.
Billing requirement: MCP requires an active Lyracut subscription or trial and a positive credit balance. If access lapses, the client receives a secure payment-required response with the correct link to subscribe or add credits; no editing work is started.
- 1In Claude (web or desktop), open Settings → Connectors.
- 2Click Add custom connector.
- 3Name it Lyracut and paste the URL below. Click Add.
- 4Click Connect. Your browser opens to authorize with your Lyracut account — click Approve.
- 5Back in Claude you’ll see Connected. Turn on Always allow for the Lyracut tools so it doesn’t ask every time.
Give your agent the Lyracut skill
The portable skill teaches Codex, Claude Code, and other Agent Skills-compatible clients how to connect securely, choose every Lyracut tool—including the footage-to-thumbnail and QA-gated HyperFrames workflows—control costs, recover from errors, and verify edits instead of guessing.
~/.claude/skills/lyracut-mcp/$CODEX_HOME/skills/lyracut-mcp/Unzip the folder into your client’s skills directory, restart the client if needed, then ask it to use $lyracut-mcp. The MCP connection still uses your own Lyracut OAuth approval and account permissions.
Then edit with your agent
Open a project in Lyracut, then talk to your agent normally:
- “What’s on my Lyracut timeline right now?”
- “Consolidate the tracks and tighten the pacing.”
- “Add punchy captions to the hook and a crossfade into the b-roll.”
- “Find ocean b-roll and drop it under the second clip.”
- “Choose the strongest frame from my footage and make a Nano Banana Pro thumbnail.”
- “Add presenter-safe motion graphics to the key phrases and verify every frame.”
Don’t see your agent?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth works. Point it at https://app.lyracut.com/mcp and complete the browser authorization. If your client only supports API keys, mint one under Settings → API access and send it as a Bearer token instead.
